The Pen of the Year 2021 is inspired by medieval knights, their heroes, myths and legends. The young men’s training took 14 years. In addition to hunting, riding, loyalty, spirituality and martial arts, it also included dancing, swimming and climbing. Upon completion of the training at the age of 21, the men received their knightly accolade ennobling them.
The Pen of the Year 2021 is inspired by medieval knights, their heroes, myths and legends. To forge knightly swords, medieval blacksmiths used Damascus steel, the material with which the Pen of the Year 2021 piece was created. The milled and brown lacquered grip zone recreates the leather strap of the sword hilt while the matt cap with an anthracite gray surface with PVD titanium coating recalls the delicate structure of the chainmail. Its button is adorned with a faceted red garnet with sunburst cut and the symbol of the “heraldic cross”. In addition, this magnificent piece has a special packaging consisting of a highly polished black wooden case (including brochure and certificate of authenticity) and an additional tray that offers space for six additional writing instruments. Limited Edition of 375 pieces worldwide.
