When it was developed in 1906, the ‘Rouge et Noir’ fountain pen was regarded as an outstanding technical achievement, as it ensured ease of use without the need to moisten the nib in an inkwell. The Heritage Collection ‘Rouge et Noir’ celebrates the pioneering spirit of Montblanc. It reinterprets the legendary writing instrument, with a longer, slimmer silhouette and craftsmanship perfected from generation to generation, with precious coral lacquer on the barrel and a marbled cap. The latter evokes a 1920 Montblanc writing instrument. Vintage-style The Serpent clip with matching details.
The clip has been made by stamping and winding in a special metal alloy, and aged through a galvanizing and extraction process.
