MONTEGRAPPA: STERLING SILVER KAZAN LIMITED EDITION 500 STYLOGRAPHIC FEATHERS
Montegrappa produced 1000 ballpoint pens (only 500 silver fountain pens) to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of the founding of the city of Kazan, the capital of Tartarstan (the country of the Tatars), one of the republics that make up the Russian Federation.
The crown of the cap is designed to represent the dome of the Qolşärif or Kul Sharif Mosque (the oldest mosque in the city). The city’s coat of arms is engraved with a diamond point at the base of the cap.
Other symbols of Kazan are outlined by a bas-relief engraving on the surface of the 925 silver barrel: in particular, the Suyumbeki Rower, the most important building in the Kremlin, and an Arabic inscription taken from the Qur’an. The undecorated parts are made of precious green resin, the color of Islam.
This beautiful model is presented in an ash wood case and enhanced by a decorative plate with the logo of the fountain pen.
