Pen No. 3
A photo of the three colors I have is attached
The Story
The Le Man 100 was introduced in 1983 for the Waterman’s 100th anniversary and was discontinued around the year 2000. It is a neo classic pen and one of the great fountain pens of all time, produced in a variety of a captivating finishes, from the Patrician’s, Fountainebleu’s and The limited edition Étoile, the special editions were particularly seminal.
The briar wood is no exception, it is one of three special limited edition wood finishes, which include, The Briar Wood Limited Edition (1987), The Macassar Wood Limited Edition (1987), and The Olive Wood Limited Edition (1988).
It is a full sized pen measuring over 14cm in length, with a weighty feel in the hand, the warm feel of the briar wood in the hand is particularly pleasant, as are the burled characteristics of the briad wood itself. The cap posts securely with a click to the rear of the barrel giving a full sized pen a wand like feel. The nib is a superb 18k gold fine.
The pen comes fully serviced and boxed in its original Waterman stain lined case, complete with a Waterman ink converter installed, instructions and Waterman IDEAL certificate of authenticity
