Montblanc in 1993 launched its second limited series, this time it dedicated its limited edition to “Agatha Christie”, but for the Asian market it launched the same pen with a dragon instead of the snake on the clip, it is the fountain pen Imperial Dragon.
The dragon is a mythological animal in Asia, a symbol of prosperity, fertility and good luck in Asian culture. For many cultures, snakes are a symbol of bad luck. That is why Montblanc made the same pen as the Agatha Christie but with the clip in the shape of a dragon.
The pen is made of noble black Montblanc resin, with silver finishes and the clip in the shape of a dragon with two sapphires in the eyes, the imperial dragon signature next to the clip.
The dragon that carries the pen and the rings of the fountain pen are made of silver.

Born in 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi, and moved to Memphis, Tennessee, Elvis Presley became one of the most famous musicians. The shape of the writing instrument is based on the shape of a car engine spark plug, inspired by Elvis’s love of V8 engines, as well as the shape of the clip. Motif on cap and barrel finished with the gold ring he wore during the “Aloha from Hawaii” concert. The clip features a V-shape that comes from Elvis’s love of Cadillacs and their V8 engine, and the engraving “EP,” from his iconic sunglasses.
