Montblanc Imperial Dragon Writers Edition Fountain Pen 1993

3.300,00

The Writers Edition Imperial Dragon gives this glorious creature new life and demonstrates why the dragon has fascinated people for centuries. Each pen in this edition is decorated by an elaborately made dragon clip in 925 sterling silver. Two rubies make the eyes of the dragon glow magically.

The dragon clip and the engraved cap ring form a striking contrast to the barrel, which is made of black precious resin, and the rhodium-plated 18-karat gold nib pays tribute to the mythical creature with an engraving of a dragon’s head.

Montblanc in 1993 launched its second limited series, this time it dedicated its limited edition to “Agatha Christie”, but for the Asian market it launched the same pen with a dragon instead of the snake on the clip, it is the fountain pen Imperial Dragon.
The dragon is a mythological animal in Asia, a symbol of prosperity, fertility and good luck in Asian culture. For many cultures, snakes are a symbol of bad luck. That is why Montblanc made the same pen as the Agatha Christie but with the clip in the shape of a dragon.
The pen is made of noble black Montblanc resin, with silver finishes and the clip in the shape of a dragon with two sapphires in the eyes, the imperial dragon signature next to the clip.
The dragon that carries the pen and the rings of the fountain pen are made of silver.
The Imperial Dragon gold fountain pen is a series limited to 5.000 units for the whole world
Nib with midpoint “M”. The 18-karat gold nib with an engraved dragon.
