Agatha Christie was born in England on September 15, 1890, she was made a member of the Royal Literature Society and made “Doctor Honoris Causa” by the University of Exeter. In 1971 she was awarded the title of “Lady of the British Empire” a title of nobility that was rarely granted in those days.
Montblanc in 1993 launched the second limited series of it, this time dedicating its limited edition to Agatha Christie.
The design of the fountain pen is based on the style of the 20s, it is made of noble Montblanc resin in black color, the rings and clips in sterling silver. The snake-shaped clip that screws onto the cap. The snake wants to represent the tension and intrigue of the works of Agatha Christie. The eyes of the serpent are two rubies. Agatha Christie’s signature is etched on the side of the clip. The 18 karat gold nib with a snake engraved on it.

The Chinkin Collection is made up of fountain pens which use “Chinkin (Gold Inlay)”, one of lacquer ware techniques
that Japan boasts to the world on a par with Maki-e. Motifs are carved into the lacquered surface with special chisels,

Pilot- Namiki Custom Urushi Fountain Pen black
Original price was: 1.485,00€.1.300,00€Current price is: 1.300,00€.This Pilot Custom Urushi lacquered ebonite fountain pen was created by maki-e artisans (kokkokai) in Japan. It features the Roiro Urushi technique in solid black. The pen has a broad two-tone 18kt gold large #30 nib. A Con-70 converter is included, but you can also use Pilot cartridges if you prefer. It comes packaged in a gift box.
Lacquering has been used in Japan for thousands of years. The Pilot Custom Urushi is crafted from Japanese ebonite and lacquered using only pure Urushi lacquer. Like their Namiki pens, Pilot uses a lacquering technique called Roiro, which requires substantial time and skill to create a uniform and mirror-like finish. Each Custom Urushi pen is lacquered, cured, and polished three times to create a beautiful quality result.
