The Annual Edition collection was launched in 2003 within its limited edition collection and undoubtedly stands out for its body finished in gold and for its cap made of Meissen porcelain.
Meissen Porcelain is the first porcelain in Europe and has its origins in 1708, its creator was Ehrenfried Walther von Tschirnhaus, after his premature death, Johann Friedrich Böttger continued his work, which is why he is often mistakenly held responsible for his invention. Meissen porcelain production from its inception attracted various artists and craftsmen, establishing one of the most famous porcelain manufacturing factories in Europe. The company continues to operate under the name Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH. Its best-known logo, two crossed swords, was introduced in 1720 with the intention of protecting its production from counterfeits.
In each Annual collection, 3 pieces are made with their caps painted by hand in which 3 scenes are represented that in 2008 correspond to …
the beautiful Danae, through whom Zeus was transformed into golden shower.
Pagliaccico, the melancholic jester.
Cerberus, the fierce hound that guards the gates of hell.
The fountain pen has a closed length of 137.4mm and a curb weight of 32.5g. Once we remove its cap, (attached to the body by pressure) we see that the grip section is made of black resin and next to the nib it has a ring finished in gold.
its nibs are made of 18 kt gold. in which we can read “4810 ANNUAL EDITION MONTBLANC”.
Its loading system is by cartridge / converter with gold finishes.
