The Great Purple Emperor’s valiantand magnificent appearance, and its stately beauty, has made it the national butterfly of Japan. The pen fills using Pilot’s convenient cartridge-converter system, which allows for the use of either Pilot brand cartridges or any bottled fountain pen ink when using the provided converter. Even better, the converter in this case is Pilot’s high-capacity CON-70 model, which gives this pen a capacity rivaling or surpassing that of many piston-filers.
This Pilot Custom Urushi lacquered ebonite fountain pen was created by maki-e artisans (kokkokai) in Japan. It features the Roiro Urushi technique in solid red. The pen has a broad two-tone 18kt gold large #30 nib. A Con-70 converter is included, but you can also use Pilot cartridges if you prefer. It comes packaged in a gift box.
