7 PLATINUM INK BOTTLES

Platinum pigment ink ink bottles

Platinum ink bottles of pigmented ink for fountain pens. 60 centilitre bottles in black (Carbon Ink), sepia, blue and rose red

Platinum offers high-quality pigment inks for fountain pens. Pigmented inks differ from water-based inks mainly in that while the latter are formed by dissolving dyes in water, the latter use pigments that do not dissolve, but the particles remain in suspension. For this same reason, it is recommended not to allow the ink to dry on the nib or inside the fountain pen or the loading systems, making it necessary to wash all parts to avoid solidification and possible resulting jams.

The main advantage of pigmented inks is their greater resistance to light, and more specifically to UV rays, and heat, maintaining the color for much longer. The coverage capacity (ink on ink that provides a more intense color) is excellent. Its handling is also more versatile, allowing sharp tips and more precise finishes thanks to its consistency. This property, consistency, also prevents the ink from bleeding through the paper as can happen with more watery bases. Recommended for color combinations. Recommended for important documents. Widely used in plastic arts (use with a brush, for comics, etc.)

The pigment ink colors offered by Platinum are: Black, also called Carbon Ink due to the carbon base of its pigments, consisting of ultra-fine particles that ensure permanence over time, water resistance and the aforementioned archival capacity; Rose Red, named for the rose base (the flower); Sepia, a shade of brown; and blue.
