In Japanese culture, the pine tree is known to represent longevity, good fortune, and steadfastness.
This fountain pen features the Togidashi-Hira Maki-e technique, which by completing the background and other elements of the scene using Togidashi Maki-e techniques, further emphasis is given to the main design by using other materials such as lacquer and charcoal. The design is then finished using the same techniques as those used on Hira Maki-e.
The result is an impression of majestic opulence. Nature has always inspired artists. It offers a variety of themes that is fully embodied in the Yukari collection.
Among the various maki-e techniques employed, raden allows artists to inlay fine fragments of mother-of-pearl to achieve an exceptional level of detail, sublimating nature to perfection.
