With an elegant and artistic design, the Yukari Royale fountain pen collection captures the beauty and essence of Japanese culture. With a larger feather body than the traditional Yukari collection, the Snowy Egret, Court Carriage in Wisteria, Kingfisher, Fall Flowers and Night Scene of Pavilion designs are hand painted using Togidashi and Taka-maki-e lacquer techniques. All designs are available in a medium or wide 18 karat gold with rhodium accented nib, ensuring flawless and long-lasting writing performance. A traditional oriental wooden gift box with bottled ink completes the attractive presentation.
The beautiful Night Scene of the Pavilion was created by togidashi-taka maki-e techniques, which consist of a burnished design in relief by applying a coat of lacquer, sprinkling with gold or silver powder, and drying with an additional coat of lacquer to set the powder. You’ll see impressive combinations of gold and silver dust are used throughout the pen artwork with the traditional black lacquer accented with a gold dust background.
The night scene of the Yukari Royale pavilion will be a regular feature in the Namiki line. Each fountain pen is carefully crafted and painted with the craftsman’s signature,. The fountain pen has an 18-carat gold nib n. 20 with rhodium accents featuring the usual frame.
