Namiki Yukari Royale Tabane-noshi (Noshi Bundle) Maki-e Fountain Pen
The Namiki Tabane-noshi (Noshi Bundle) belongs to the Yukari Royale Series, with a profile a bit larger than that of the Yukari.
Noshi are long, thin strips of dried abalone used to wrap gifts after use in Shinto rituals. Today, it is used as a decorative accompaniment to gifts and presents on auspicious occasions. These abalone strips are a symbol of good luck known as Tabane-noshi (Noshi Bundle). This design elegantly depicts waves of multi-colored Noshi, bound together and flaring out.
In contrast to the deep design of the Emperor Collection, graceful motifs are drawn on the Yukari Royale Collection.
The name comes from the Japanese word “Yukari”, meaning the connection and relationships between people.
Please enjoy the expression overflowing with grace that comes with Togidashi-Taka Maki-e (Burnished-Raised Maki-e).
