Meissen Porcelain is the first porcelain in Europe and has its origins in 1708, its creator was Ehrenfried Walther von Tschirnhaus, after his premature death, Johann Friedrich Böttger continued his work, which is why he is often mistakenly held responsible for his invention. Meissen porcelain production from its inception attracted various artists and craftsmen, establishing one of the most famous porcelain manufacturing factories in Europe. The company continues to operate under the name Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH. Its best-known logo, two crossed swords, was introduced in 1720 with the intention of protecting its production from counterfeits.
