Sentryman Explorer Limited Edition Fountain Pen / Ball Point
Dunhill presents the Sentryman Explorer Pen, complete with interchangeable fountain and ball point nibs. The fountain nib can be replaced by a ballpoint that has a pressurized refill that will still work incredibly at -20ºC.Its bright red anodized aluminium body provides a masculine, metallic effect and is easily spotted if misplaced in a snowstorm!
Incredibly innovative and functional, this piece was inspired by the needs of South Pole explorers. An artificial flint in the barrel creates a spark when struck against the magnesium material around the cap button, allowing explorers to light a fire, while a luminous cap ring enables the pen to be easily found in the dark. Unusually, the fountain pen forepart is interchangeable with a ballpoint forepart (included) – much better for writing a journal while on an expedition! The anodised aluminium barrel is strong but lightweight, and contrasts well with the polished palladium plated attributes.

Agatha Christie was born in England on September 15, 1890, she was made a member of the Royal Literature Society and made “Doctor Honoris Causa” by the University of Exeter. In 1971 she was awarded the title of “Lady of the British Empire” a title of nobility that was rarely granted in those days.
Montblanc in 1993 launched the second limited series of it, this time dedicating its limited edition to Agatha Christie.
The design of the fountain pen is based on the style of the 20s, it is made of noble Montblanc resin in black color, the rings and clips in sterling silver. The snake-shaped clip that screws onto the cap. The snake wants to represent the tension and intrigue of the works of Agatha Christie. The eyes of the serpent are two rubies. Agatha Christie’s signature is etched on the side of the clip. The 18 karat gold nib with a snake engraved on it.

Namiki Yukari size Bamboo Fountain pen maki-e new
3.500,00€The fountain pens in the Yukari collection by Namiki are delicate works of art, signed by their author, whose motif, borrowed from the symbols of Japanese tradition, has been engraved free-hand on copper-plate.
The ink is fed either by a piston converter or by a cartridge.Each of the Yukari fountain pens requires, as do the Emperors, three months and sometimes more of expert, loving and minute craftsmanship.
Such is the time that must be devoted to bringing to perfection the ornamental grace, true to the Maki-e craft, mingling polychromatic lacquers and gold dust.The Maki-e, a decorating technique patiently refined by Nipponese artists over the centuries, came to full bloom in the 14th and 15th centuries A. D., when, as it was highly sought by the aristocracy, it came to enrich the looks of the implements used in the tea ceremony.
Maki-e is part and parcel of the cultural heritage of old Japan. It involves no less than thirty some different processes, that concur in decors of utmost subtlety and unrivalled luxury.
Patiently and serenely adorned following the rules of that ancestral craft, the fountain pens in the Yukari collection sing in praise of a civilisation foregone.
Only those to whom time is irrelevant may decorate with infinitesimal paintbrush strokes, these loving birds, symbol of longevity, fruitful life, borrowed from the mythology of ancient Japan.
