Montegrappa dedicates the Tributo ad Amedeo Modigliani Resin Fountain Pen to the genius who discomposed the principles of portraits: a Limited Edition collection that traces the features of his style. The neat line of the pen pays homage to the essentiality of his search for plasticity, the shaft and the cap are oval-shaped like the faces of his portraits, the clip is long and uneven like his noses, and the cap ring has the characteristic irregular shape of the lips he painted.
Modigliani’s distinctive feature, the firm and vibrating brushstrokes that marked every painting of his, has been reproduced with the help of the precious resin these creations are made of. The color is the same as in several of his works of art: deep blue, as Parisian nights are.
The excellence of Modigliani’s contribution to the history of art lies in the 18 carat gold nib upon which is engraved one of his studies of heads.
