On the occasion of the founding of “Montblanc de la culture” in 2002, Montblanc launched the Montblanc “Andrew Carnegie” fountain pen on the market in a limited edition of 4810 units worldwide.

Andrew Carnegie was born on November 25, 1835 and died on August 11, 1919. He was an American industrialist, businessman, and philanthropist from Scotland. He created the “Carnegie Steel Company” in Pitssburgh which later merged with the “Federal Steel Company” and various smaller companies to create “U.S. Steel”. With the fortune he earned from his business, he devoted it to philanthropy and education, founding the “Carnegie Corporation of New York”, “Carnegie Fund for International Peace” and “Carnegie Mellon University” in Pitssburgh.
