The Omas Arte Italiana design dates back to the early days of the company and draws inspiration from classic Greek architecture as reflected in its 12-sided design and the Greek key pattern on the cap band.
The Omas Bibliotheque Nationale is a 1999 edition in honor of the National Library of France, a comprehensive library dedicated to “preserving the memory of the future”.
Omas uses an ivory vegetal resin with gold trim to symbolize the parchment manuscripts and the ivory, gold pen holders designed in the 1920’s.

Omas Tokio Green fountain pen
475,00€The Tokyo line of piston fillers was introduced by Omas in 1993. The model had been designed by the famous industrial designer E. Sottsass who drew inspiration from Oriental minimalism to develop the project of the pen.
The clip is simple and linear and the round shape at the top recalls the initial “O” from Omas.
The Tokyo was produced in colorful resin in an nice array of colors: viridian green, lychee nut green, blue Venezia, persimmon orange and classic black.
The nib was originally gold plated steel, with a typical decoration, as the model was meant for a young market and was not supposed to be too expensive.
Gold nibs exist, too and are very rare and desirable.
This pen is pre-owned but it is in excellent condition with very minimal traces of use.

Omas I Think limited edition year 2009 Fountain Pen nib M
2.500,00€Limited edition of only 1000 units! Omas dedicates this new limited edition “I Think” to the study of the evolution of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of the publication of “The Origin of Species”.
Darwin made his historic voyage aboard HMS Beagle in 1831-1836, which led to his decisive scientific discoveries in the Galapogos Islands.
The feather is adorned with engravings of the species whose various mutations led to Darwin’s theory: a mockingbird perches on the crown; Tracks of turtles, iguanas, lizards, flamingos, gannets and lizards “walk” through the clip. The cap ring is engraved with a DNA helix and four turns of thread surround the ends. Like the HMS Beagle itself, the body of the pen is crafted from natural oak.
