This limited edition was originally released in 1994. Frederick honors the 800th birthday of Frederick II of Hohenstaufen, Holy Roman Emperor.
This limited edition was authorized by the Federico II Foundation. Collection of 4 fountain pens in a limited edition of 800 pieces. Representing the kings of four kingdoms: king of Romans, king of Germany, king of Sicily, king of Jerusalem.

Hand turned from the world’s finest celluloid. Green, blue, blonde (pearl/black), cinnabar (orange/black). The unique curved gold clip highlights the distinctive variegated finishes. The style is reminiscent of the golden age of fountain pens of the 1920s and 1930s. Also styled after Visconti’s popular Ragtime model.

Visconti pens have been manufactured in Italy since 1988. The workshops are located in a 15th century villa in rural Florence. The director of the Florentine company, Dante Del Vecchio, is guided by his personal passion for historic fountain pens and his relentless search for new expressions in the art of writing instruments.

Each feather tells a story, of art, archaeology, philosophy, mathematics, literature, ancient and contemporary history. Visconti pens cease to be a simple writing instrument and become canvases on which new artistic expressions are painted and deep emotions are communicated.
