“Once upon a time…” The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Brothers Grimm is dedicated to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and celebrates their work on German and European folk tales among which are some of the most famous fairy tales such as “Snow White”, “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty”. The overall silhouette of the writing instrument is shaped like an old hiking stick and the Black colour resembles the darkness of the woods which usually serve as the main stage for the Brothers Grimm´s folklore. In addition, the wave-like pattern on the cap and barrel is inspired by Rapunzel´s hair while also resembling roots as the Brothers Grimm viewed their linguistic work as “research into roots”. The cap is crowned by the Montblanc Emblem in precious resin. The platinum-coated clip, reminiscent of a knobby piece of wood, surprisingly reveals the silhouette of the profile of the Brothers Grimm when turned. As an homage to the magic of storytelling, the handcrafted Au 750 solid gold nib with rhodium coating bears flames which were often the setting around which folklore stories were passed on.

The Montblanc Patron of Art Edition in 2022 is dedicated to Queen Victoria & Prince Albert. The Limited Edition 4810 is a remarkable couple edition, one edition is honouring Queen Victoria and another one her consort Prince Albert. The Montblanc Patron of Art Homage to Victoria Limited Edition 4810 is celebrating the young Victoria and comes with a pearl white lacquered barrel as well as a cap in translucent mint green lacquer with a Victorian pattern underneath. The fittings are signature gold-coated. The clip shape is a tribute to her sceptre while the dark green synthetic stone is a homage to her engagement ring. The cap top is inspired by a royal crown and is adorned with the Montblanc emblem made from white precious resin. While the cap ring features the engraved quote “I will be good”, a special engraving decorates the cone. As an homage to Victoria’s nick name “England’s rose”, the handcrafted solid Au 750 gold nib bears an embossing of a rose. With signature gold and/or signature gold-coating, Montblanc describes the enlightened shade of yellow gold which has become an appreciated tone for the Maison’s Writing Instruments.

The shape of the writing instrument is based on the shape of a car engine spark plug, inspired by Elvis’s love of V8 engines, as well as the shape of the clip. Motif on cap and barrel finished with the gold ring he wore during the “Aloha from Hawaii” concert. The clip features a V-shape that comes from Elvis’s love of Cadillacs and their V8 engine, and the engraving “EP,” from his iconic sunglasses.
