M101N Grey-Blue
The technical base of this fountain pen is the model M101N. The chosen color pattern in grey and blue reminds of a historical model of the 1930s. The barrel is made of the typical Pelikan cellulose acetate in a very unique pattern. Cap, front part and turning knob are made of high-quality resin that polishes itself time and again during use.
All rings and the typical Pelikan clip are plated with 24 carat gold. The fountain pen with piston mechanism has a 14 carat bi-colour gold nib with rhodium trim and is available in 4 nib widths EF, F, M and B.
The matching ballpoint pen has a twist-mechanism.
Every single writing instrument is mounted by hand and carefully checked to fulfill the strictest quality criteria. The Souverän® 600 Violet-White is encased in a specially designed gift box.
Available from May 2019, only in limited stocks.
Each piece is unique. Each piece is also a favorite. Each piece bears a limited edition number, also engraved. While this may sound quite technical, it also means that there is an extraordinary and natural appeal to these pens: the allure of exclusivity. Limited editions create desire: the desire to own one of the 180 pieces created for everyone. Although one hundred and eighty may seem like a small number, the pleasure will last a lifetime.
Sterling silver
The main difference between this pen and its predecessors is that the sleeve is not striped. The barrel is made of entirely black high-grade resin. The view window of the ink container that is set off in a shade of transparent green as well as its gold plating give this fountain pen an individual character and the nostalgic aura of an original classic pen.
The foreign minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav Stresemann (1879- 1929), was honored with the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1926: Together with his French colleague Aristide Briand, he was acknowleged for his reconciliatory work between the nations after World War I. Besides his impressive political career, Stresemann also became famous for the creation of a new kind of suit that was still sufficiently formal for official presentations and yet comfortable enough for his work at the office. Stresemann liked to wear suits with thin stripes, and, as life sometimes goes, a legend developed … and suddenly, people called the striped fountain pens from Pelikan — that were just then starting their global tour of success around the world — by the name of „Stresemann“.
Both the suits and the pens still carry that name to this day. To officially acknowledge and honor this legend, Pelikan has now named the latest addition to the standard collection, the Souverän with elegant stripes in anthracite, the „Stresemann“.
The barrel with the deceptively simple anthracite stripes is made of cellulose acetate, using a traditional process that‘s extremely work-intensive. For the black, finely turned pieces, high-quality resin was used. The clip and the rings are plated with palladium. The gold nib is completely rhodinized to obtain a silver sheen. Every single writing instrument is mounted by hand and carefully checked to fulfill the strictest quality criteria. This elegant series is available in the sizes 405 and 805 as fountain pen, ballpoint pen or rollerball.
Souverän® Stresemann®
Different than the others: this series 200 Smoky Quartz is the first version refined with golden trimmings. The golden rings, the fine Pelikan clip and the gold-plated steel nib match perfectly with the color temperature of brown-colored, smoky shades.
